For Eric Kline, building isn’t just about bricks, steel, or concrete — it’s about bringing bold visions to life, crafting spaces that reflect the dreams of his clients, and leading people toward something greater.
Eric’s journey began far from the world of oceanfront mansions and high-end developments. Raised in a military family, he learned early the values of discipline, integrity, and leadership. Those values were further forged in his formative years through the Boy Scouts, competitive sports, and the Junior ROTC program. Even as a young man, Eric stood out as a leader, earning the respect of teammates, peers, and mentors alike.
His passion for leadership followed him to Florida State University, where he earned a business degree and became the captain of one of the nation’s top collegiate cheerleading teams, leading them to a national runner-up finish — a testament to his natural ability to rally people, foster teamwork, and perform at the highest level.
After graduation, Eric launched his career in the construction industry with Ferguson Enterprises, quickly rising through the ranks to become the youngest outside salesman in the company and earning recognition for turning around underperforming divisions. But Eric's ambitions stretched beyond sales. He wanted to be on the front lines of creation, driving projects from concept to completion.
That desire led him into the world of construction project management. He quickly advanced, overseeing high-rise condominium developments in Jacksonville, Florida, while earning his Certified General Contractor license. His leadership and vision ultimately took him beyond U.S. borders when he was recruited to join the development team behind the
Ritz-Carlton in the Cayman Islands— one of the most prestigious luxury properties in the Caribbean.
In 2012, fueled by a desire to build something of his own and no longer rely on the fragile success of other developers, Eric took the entrepreneurial leap and founded Encompass Ltd.— a fully integrated
design-build firm headquartered in Grand Cayman.
Starting with nothing but determination, talent, and the unwavering support of his wife, Tracey, Eric built Encompass from the ground up. What began as a small operation of two evolved into a powerhouse firm with over 40 employees, an impeccable reputation, and a portfolio of jaw-dropping, multimillion-dollar custom homes that define luxury living in the Caribbean.
Eric’s approach to construction is unmatched in the region. Encompass is one of the few firms that offers a fully integrated, start-to-finish design-build experience. From the initial concept to project delivery and ongoing property management, Eric and his team provide a seamless, collaborative process that emphasizes transparency, trust, and an extraordinary client experience.
But Eric’s impact goes beyond the buildings he creates. He is a servant leader at heart, mentoring his team, fostering a strong, positive company culture, and giving back to the community. For nearly a decade, he sponsored and coached a local Little League team in the Cayman Islands, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, had the opportunity to play. He has also supported various church initiatives and youth programs, further cementing his belief that leadership is about
lifting others up.
Eric’s work has not gone unnoticed. His projects have been featured in numerous magazines and publications. In 2017, Encompass received global recognition when one of their custom-built residences was awarded the Best Single-Family Home Construction in the World
at the International Property Awards in London.
When he’s not leading his company or collaborating with high-profile clients — including executives, entrepreneurs, and some of the world’s most successful individuals — you’ll find Eric embracing the island lifestyle he helps others create. He is an avid scuba diver, fisherman, and explorer who believes in living life to the fullest alongside his wife and business partner, Tracey, and their son, who shares his passion for music, martial arts, and continuous personal growth.
For Eric, success isn’t just measured in square footage, awards, or luxury finishes. It’s about building legacy, lifestyle, and lasting relationships— and he’s only just getting started.
